End of Summer

The summer has officially ended, at least according to the school calendars. I'm sad, I love having the kids home, I think I'm actually bored when they're gone. I know most mom's long for the break after the summer months are over, but I've always enjoyed the lazy days of summer and even more than that... I LOVE spending all that time with my kids.

I felt a bit robbed this summer because of my health and because of all of the running around I've been doing for Sean, but all in all it was a great summer. Speaking of Sean, he is done with Speech and Occupational Therapy for now. He's doing great! He will look you in the eye now and say hello and we've added three new foods! Great job Seanie!

I have decided to return to school myself. I'm not sure what I'm studying yet, but since it has been so long I have to start with Gen Ed anyway, I figure I'll just go from there. I'm currently studying math to take the placement test and am pleased to find that I actually understand it this time around. Maybe I just had a mental block in High School, but it is kind of cool that I get it. Well, at least the basics, but really that is a big deal for me.

Now I have about a week and a half before Sean returns to preschool, this will be his second year, but this year will be different. He is going to private as well as developmental school. Needless to say, he will be one really busy 4 year old. So will I, seeing as I'm going to be spending 3 days a week driving both him back and forth between schools, not to mention the 4th day which will only be a half day and if you add to that Sami and her schedule... let's just say I'll be spending a good deal of time in my car.

With Sean in school all day at least 3 days a week, this will give me some quality time with Alex. I'm really looking forward to it, I remember how much fun Sean and I had when he was Alex's age. I've already looked at the toddler groups held at the library and I can't wait to take Alex. He loves books and is constantly carrying one around with him. He's starting to talk more and more, his favorite words are no, cars, and bus... in that order. So cute (well, except for the "no")!

All that is left is to post some pics of our summer adventures (which undoubtedly take me a few more days) but until then love to all.

Our summer ended about 4 weeks ago. So sad I love sleeping in and having my kids crawl in bed with me to read a book or just snuggle.
