Is it Working?

I've been on the new medications for a few days now and have been noticing subtle but promising changes. The first of which, is that I finally have more energy to manage my day. I used to be completely useless if I wasn't in bed by 8 pm and I'm noticing that I can function better with a more manageable amount of sleep. This is a VERY good thing, I just don't have time to sleep as much as my body thinks it wants to.

I've also noticed a few subtle changes in my appetite. I find that I get hungry like a normal person as opposed to be feeling constantly famished! I can't tell you what a relief this is. I usually feel like I could eat a 5 course meal 5 times a day. The other day I was going about my usual activities and it hit me that I'd missed lunch, not recommended, but I only felt slightly hungry instead of like I might faint dead away. I think this was the desired effect that the meds were supposed to have, but my appointment with the Dr will tell me more. I meet with him again in about a month.

Other than that, we are enjoying the fact the summer finally decided to descend upon us here in UT. I love summer, the warmth, the longer days full of fun things to do etc... Today I think we'll head to the pool . This is always an adventure due to my own history with skin cancer. After two hours feverishly applying sunscreen to anything that moves we spend another 15 min inflating the floats and finally after much ado, we're out the door. It takes so much energy for me to get ready that by the time we get there I feel like I've already been swimming for several hours. Goodness, wish me luck because I think the kids are bored with me and I need to do something quick!
