Hospital Beds & Holidays

All right, it seems that for me holidays and hospital beds go hand in hand. Argh! If there is an illness to be had on a holiday, you can count on me to catch it. Although this time I don't think it was anything I "caught." In all fairness, I didn't really get sick until 1 am on the 5th of July, but it all runs together for me anyway. Little did I know that upon arriving home the evening of the 4th I would later become violently ill.

Sound dramatic? It was... and for those who know me well, are you really surprised? After not being able to keep anything down and spending every ten minutes over the toilet you'd think I would call for help. No, I decided to tough it out, but the final straw came when I think I actually passed out twice and woke up in a pool of sweat on the floor with my muscles cramping so badly I couldn't move. That's when I decided I couldn't take it anymore and went to the ER.

After a really, really long day, and a precautionary stay overnight, they still don't know what is wrong with me. They think it might be my gall bladder, so I have to see a surgeon next week who will run further tests to make sure he doesn't go in for nothing. Sheesh, is all I have to say. I hate to have such an ungrateful attitude, but there are days when I really wish that I could trade in this body for a new one. This one doesn't seem to understand that I don't have time and energy for all of this sickness.

Oh brother, well such is life, well my life anyway. Stay tuned!
