We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday spent with Christina's side of the family this year. As always, dinner at her Aunt Kay's in Smithfield was great! The whole family enjoyed the food and especially the company. We celebrated Grandma France's 90th birthday as well. It was a choice experience to be able to share in the celebrations.
Sean is fast approaching 4 years old and is proving to be too smart for his parents. Yesterday he decided to put together a puzzle all by himself. He did great, but upon further inspection we found that although he was working from a picture that was right side up, he decided to put the puzzle together upside down. Seriously people, a 4 year old? I can't do that now, are you kidding? I can barely put a puzzle together right side up and all by myself. See what I mean, we're in deep here!
Alex will be 1 year tomorrow! We can hardly believe that one year has already passed! What a whirlwind. As I'm sure all of you with kids will agree, the time flies by way too fast. Christina cries at every birthday. No seriously, there's usually a picture of family, cake, presents, happy children and then.... Stina bawling. Alex is doing great, he is a big kid! We're sure he'll be a football player. Stina is excited to be the crazy mom with a painted face yelling from the sidelines!
Greg is still working at Ken Garff in their IT department. Yes, he and David work together, I think they're still friends? :) Anyhoo, he loves it and continues to work hard to support our family.
Stina is a stay-at-home Mom. I was more than excited to leave the corporate world behind me when Sean was born. Although now sometimes when I'm sitting at the kitchen table covered in food and still in my PJ's, I long for the conference table in a boardroom where I can give a presentation on the latest trends in technology. Instead Greg makes fun of me for chaneling my latent energies by putting every bit of informaiton under the sun in a spreadsheet or powerpoint, including the details on how I potty train and run the laundry. No really, I love being a stay at home mom and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
Well, Christmas is fast approaching and I'm already feeling overwhelmed. We just moved into our new home in North Salt Lake and we love it! We haven't been in the ward long but I already have a calling, Greg says it's because I'm too cheerful. Hmph! Our ward is absolutely huge and half of it is pregnant, so I'm the Compassionate Service Leader over all families who are expecting new babies or just had a baby.
Greg doensn't have a calling yet, so I told him to CHEER UP! Hah!
Well, I'm off to start lunch. I just finished giving a presentation to the children on the benefits of finishing their meal and drinking all of their milk. I'm not sure I really got through to them despite the use of eye catching graphs and flow charts, but we'll give it a go. Wish me luck!
